Frequently Asked Questions

When it comes to selecting a practitioner, I want you to have all the information you need to make the right choice. Understanding who I am and what I offer is essential for your peace of mind. To make the process easier for you, I’ve put together list of questions that my clients often ask.

As a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, I use a foundational holistic approach to health to address concerns that focus on the importance of food, nutrients, and lifestyle.

I recognize that every person is different, there is never a one size fits all approach to health. No protocol is the same. I am here to give you the time needed to tell your story, explain your health history, deep-dive into your nutrition and lifestyle habits, while getting to the root cause of symptoms.

The foundations we will focus on are a nutrient-dense properly prepared whole foods diet, digestion, blood sugar, fatty acids, mineral balance, and hydration. I honor the body’s amazing capability to restore, repair, and heal itself when given the proper nutrients.

A Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP) is certified through the Nutritional Therapy Association. NTPs are trained to use a combination of professional tools to assess the unique needs of each client.

NTPs use a deep foundational and bio-individual approach to functional, holistic nutrition to balance body chemistry and achieve optimal wellness. NTPs are equipped to support the body’s innate ability to heal by addressing the importance of nutrient-dense food, anatomy and physiology, lifestyle choices, culinary wellness, client coaching, and how social and personal components influence health.

I specialize in improving gut health and hormonal imbalances. Many symptoms like IBS, Bloating, Constipation, Food Sensitivities, PCOS, Irregular Periods, Thyroid Imbalances, Weight Loss Resistance, Fatigue, Inflammation and Blood Sugar Imbalances are linked to these two primary target areas.

By optimizing nutrition, utilizing targeted supplementation, regulating the nervous system, and understanding labs from a functional standpoint, many health concerns and symptoms begin to weaken and may even disappear with time.

If you are unsure about whether we can address your concerns, I urge you to book a discovery call with me. We can discuss your health history and barriers that you have faced to see if we are a good fit!

The importance of functional lab testing is to track the body’s function, follow changes, and assess for imbalances. We will look at the whole picture and use specific markers to identify dysfunction, imbalance, and nutrient issues.

Blood Testing and Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis helps to identify specific areas of concern in the body to focus resources on. The markers and ranges used on a functional lab are very different than the normal lab testing ranges. Just because something is “within range” does not mean it is NORMAL!

*** Lab Testing with Nutrition by Andi does NOT diagnose and will NOT confirm any past diagnosis. Note: Due to lab restrictions, Lab Testing is available to US residents only and is not available to those residing in New York State, Rhode Island, or New Jersey.

I never want my clients to feel alone or left in the dark. It is my priority to be there for you throughout your health journey to answer any questions you might have and to support you throughout the entire process.

Labs are completely optional. I provide functional lab blood testing and HTMA on a as needed basis. They are both included in the 4 month package. Additional fees may apply for added markers and panels.

Labs will be done through LabCorp or you can visit a local draw site with a kit sent to your home.

I can review past lab work from previous providers and also recommend and order new lab work based on your individual symptoms and concerns.

I highly recommend getting lab work done as labs can be very insightful to getting to the bottom of your health struggles and pinpointing areas of imbalance in the body..
